Ethics in Sports
Eleven Rules.
A clear stance.
They apply both on the field and beyond. Their strength lies not in theory, but in their daily application.
For everyone involved in sports.
Treat your opponents with the same respect you expect from them—in victory as well as in defeat.
Avoid anything that could harm your team or club.
Maintain a friendly relationship with officials and volunteers. Without them, you wouldn't be able to play your sport.
Follow the principles of fair play not only on the field, but also before and after the competition.
Avoid using foul language toward opponents, teammates, referees, and spectators.
Take care of the place where you play your sport and the equipment you use.
Refrain from consuming alcohol, tobacco, and drugs—including performance-enhancing drugs—both on and off the field.
If teammates or family members act unsportsmanlike, talk to them about it.
Respect other people's opinions, choose fairness, support those who are weaker, and be happy for others' success.
Treat everyone in sports with the same respect—regardless of their country, culture, or social background.
